Playing poker on the internet is nowadays one of the principal pastime activities for most people. Yet, the world of online poker can sometimes be confusing for a lot of people. First, obviously there is the question of security. How can a player determine if a poker site is legal or just fake trying to scam of people’s hard earned money.

It’s true that there are a lot of poker sites that aren’t properly licensed and are after the money of innocent players. But the truth is that the huge majority of online poker sites is completely legit and is licensed by state government institutions. Playing at these sites is completely safe and will not put the player in any risks imaginable.

One of these sites is Poker770 that is also one of the leading poker rooms on the internet. Not only is it properly licensed by European Union governments, it also provides high-quality services and unusually big bonuses. Each player that registers at Poker770 and uses a Poker770 coupon code will be awarded with a 200% up to $2,000 first deposit bonus.

Another site that can be considered a top of the line poker room is Riva Poker. This site is also the sister site of Poker770 being also licensed by leading European governments and also offers some of the biggest deposit bonuses in the poker industry. The only thing people need to do in order to claim a fantastic bonus from Riva Poker is to introduce a Riva Poker bonus coupon upon registration.

Poker can be extremely entertaining if played online, but of course only if you choose the best sites. You have to evaluate several factors when deciding to sign up, factors like gameplay, graphics, a valid license and much more.

Like you could have noticed, another important aspect is the bonuses offered by the poker site. Another successful online poker site that is also licensed and offers great services and big bonuses is Celeb Poker. Likewise, you can claim a significant first deposit bonus if you introduce a Celeb Poker bonus code when you register.

Creating a budget is a tricky thing. Many people think they want a budget, but they find that going through the process of creating one can be a little bit tricky. So, if you are one of those people never fear. There are ways to help you get through the nightmare and to make the budget that you need work for you.

The first goal of a budget is honesty. No budget works when you are lying to yourself. Many people will underestimate their bills or the money they use for discretionary spending. You cannot allow yourself to do that. You must be smarter than that. What you should be doing is being totally honest about how much you spend and start there.

The key is to give yourself a realistic look at your finances. Do not embellish at all. Once you see how you are spending then it’s time to readjust. No, this is not an easy thing to do but at least you know where you were at and you have a clear picture of what needs to be adjusted in order to get the budget where you need it to be.

Do not be afraid to reward yourself in the budget. Rewards in your cash flow can be like a casino bonus; it is a real treat. Do not be afraid of that treat. It is a wonderful thing.

The idea of a budget must start with you getting real. Once you have admitted the kind of spender you are only then can the healing begin and the real budgeting start.

Many enjoy the rush of gambling because it’s the thrill of taking risks and hoping to make a profit from it. Over the years, there are new games that have been implemented, but there are the classics that millions still enjoy playing.

Slots

Slots are one of the common games that people play in the casinos today. There are thousands of different types of games associated with slot machines from Crazy Dice to poker. Most slots are designed for you to get three or four of a kind to win a set dollar amount.

Poker

This is another common game played at casinos for those that like to take a bigger risk. Poker is a game that requires concentration and knowing how to read your hand. Certain areas in casinos are sectioned off for tournaments which are played on huge classy poker tables. To be a part of this game requires invitation only and a hefty amount of money to play.

Blackjack

Blackjack can be lots of fun, but intense at the same time. It requires you to determine if you have enough cards totaling close to 21 to beat out the dealer to win the wage placed. There are also tournaments that are played, like poker games, for high wage betting.

Roulette

There are so many options to this classic favorite when it comes to betting on this game. You can bet on colors, numbers and place bets on certain areas which are inside or outside the table. A simple ball is spun on a roulette wheel and when it stops, it hopefully lands on the color or number you placed a bet on. This game comes in an American and European version.

Remember that gambling is to be enjoyed and played responsibly. Never play with money you can’t afford to lose and know when enough is enough.

Gambling fans rejoiced when online gambling sprouted up on the internet. Finally, a way to gamble without having to make the long trek to Los Vegas or Atlantic City! Every day, people make a lot of money through online gambling (likewise, even more people lose a lot of money through online gambling). However, online gambling doesn’t quite have the glitz and glamour of a Vegas casino, right? There are no pretty cocktail waitresses waiting to fill your every alcohol-related need. There are no calm and collected dealers, no casino security officials in dark glasses in the corner. There aren’t even any chips to play with when you get bored. Online gambling will never be as glamourous as a trip away from home, that’s for certain. Yet online gambling is a way to have fun without ever leaving your home. No expensive hotel fees, no pricey restaurants needed. Still, staring at a pixelated poker hand needs a little more excitement. Online game companies have learned to inject a social atmosphere into their games.

Many online gambling sites have incorporated public profiles into their gaming so users can share a little bit about themselves when not playing their luck. Others have incorporated chatrooms into the games, especially solo games like slots, to make things a little more interesting for home players. Users can now lament their luck to other sympathetic players. They can use the chatroom to advertise their win and find a world of well-wishing fellow gamblers. Other online gaming sites use forums to talk about everything from their current winning or losing streaks to playing fun word games with each other. Users also use these forums to make improvement suggestions to the game site itself.

Gambling revenue brings in a lot of revenue for Iowa. Thanks to the recession, much gambling revenue has dropped. Looking to fill the gap left by the lowered gambling fund, Iowa is considering a bill that would legalize online poker. About fifteen million people are estimated to play online gambling illegally on sites run by overseas companies with no standardized regulations.

The bill involves state casinos setting up their own sites and running virtual poker games on the internet. Game types would include Texas Hold ‘Em, for example. Lobbyists for this movement says this is a win for the casinos, for the states, and for Iowa residents who want to gamble. Casinos can get more local customers instead of having those customers go and spend their money overseas. Taxpayers would see about a $30-35 million dollar increase in tax revenue. Online gamblers would also be protected, unlike gamblers who play on overseas sites. These players often have no guarantee that they’re going to get the money promised to them.

The current status of the bill is that it needs to pass the Senate State Government Committee before the Senate and the House. Then it must pass the Governor. However, many analysts aren’t reading a lot of opposition to the bill.

The bill also states that a referendum must be set up every eight years so counties can vote on whether or not to keep their casinos open. It also attempts to set up new horse-racing guidelines.

Iowa is not the only state to consider such a bill. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is currently deciding on a bill that would allow internet gambling in New Jersey. The bill already passed through both New Jersey voters. If Christie decides to veto the bill, it will go up for voter approval. Many expect the bill to fail if it’s offered to voters, since 67 percent of those polled said that they were against online gambling. If passed, Atlantic City casinos could then set up their own websites. The money earned from online gambling is going to be allocated to the horse-racing industry.

So you’ve just heard the news. They’re debating putting a casino into your local town. Your first knee-jerk reaction may be to rally against the cesspool of debauchery and sin that’s coming to your town. Your other reaction may be to cheer that the casino will bring in jobs and revenue. You may be sitting firmly on the fence on this one. Here are some pros and cons of having a casino as your neighbor.

The Pros: Money Talks

Money, money, money. That’s the main reason to be glad about a casino moving in. Casinos are taxed, so a casino means more revenue for your government and less tax dollars owed at tax season. State officials may be pushing for the casinos even if their constituents are against it because casinos bring in a lot of money for the state, money that can be put to use building schools, fixing bridges, and constructing roads. That money can also go to local homeless shelters or for community events. Casinos also bring in a lot of jobs, which is always nice for a community– especially in a recession. Casinos also have the benefit of offering both entry-level jobs and more experienced jobs. With casinos come tourists, which means a big boost for the tourism industry in your area. Small businesses may have an easier time staying in business. Hotels and restaurants could open up or receive a boost in sales.

The Cons: What is the Money Saying?

Some people feel that the money a casino can provide is “dirty money.” It’s no secret that gambling sometimes becomes an addiction, not a fun pleasure activity. Gambling can send citizens into severe debt if they don’t know when to stop. Worse, casinos get their money by other people losing money, so they certainly take no precautions in preventing a huge loss. Gambling addiction therapy programs may become necessary.

With today’s computer-friendly, video game savvy generations hitting the casinos, many of these quick-fingered individuals are staying away from the classic table games of casino yore. They instead head straight for the slot machines.

It’s easy to see why this computer-generated gambling catches the eye of today’s gamblers. They enter a small coin and play. It seems low-cost, and the results are instant: no skill required here, only a quick pull of a lever or push of a button. Players used to high-speed internet and quick graphics know if they’ve won or lost in a matter of seconds. The cheap cost and immediate results have a strong pull over today’s gamblers.

Unfortunately, slots are the worst way to gamble.

Think of a squirrel who’s been conditioned to hit the button for food in a science experiment. He knows that eventually, if he keeps hitting the button, he’ll get a nut. So he’ll hit the button for hours. The difference between the squirrel and the gambler? The gambler pays to hit the button…and usually pays a lot more than he receives.

Machines eventually will hit the odds and spew coins, yes. Yet machines have no “hot streaks,” they have no waiting times or due dates. These are computers, with cold hard random programming. There is no way to tell, guess, or feel. No skill required. Slot machines are like eating potato chips: once you pop a quarter into the machine, it’s hard to stop. Many gamblers won’t stop until their buckets of coins are empty, and they’ve never received their payment. It’s a proven fact that you spend more money per hour playing slots than you do table games. Next Vegas trip? Head for the tables.

Native American casinos always have fallen short of non-Native American owned casinos, but that may change in the near future. Native American casinos have shown strong growth since 1988. The only time they’ve fallen in that time period was in 2009, probably because of the recession. Even with the fall, it was only a fall of one percent, and the casinos will probably grow again now that the economy is slowly recovering.

Native American casinos experienced 96 percent of the profit that other casinos take in. Native American casinos have expanded rapidly in recent years, growing from earning 89 percent of casino revenue to 96 percent in just one year. Native American-run casinos are also good for tax revenue, as they are estimated to bring in a whopping total of $10.5 billion in revenue for both local, state, and federal governments. These casinos also bring in 682,000 jobs, paying out these individuals $28 billion in wages.

Native American casinos earn the most for California, brining the state almost $7 billion worth of revenue. The four states under California (Oklahoma, Connecticut, Florida, Washington) are all high-rollers for the industry, bringing in just over 60 percent of all Native American resort revenue. “Racinos,” which are casinos that also offer horse racing, are also showing a significant growth.

History of the Native American Gaming Industry

Native American tribes have greater sovereignty and control over their businesses, which is why it’s easier for them to open casinos outside of state regulations. Native American gaming began as a result of a Supreme Court decision in the 1970′s that stated that governments could not tax or regulate happenings at an Indian reservation. The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, passed in 1988, did allow governments to enforce some regulations on Native American-run casinos. There are an estimated 400 Native American gaming establishments around the United States currently in operation. One of the largest Native American casinos in the United States is the Pechanga Resort and Casino in California. The Foxwoods Resort Casino is another notably large casino, which is located in Connecticut and has been operating since 1992.

There is a concept that everyone who gambles should remember. This concept is called the “Gambler’s Fallacy” or the “Monte Carlo Fallacy”. If you intend to gamble at a game like slot machines or a game like roulette, then read on. If this doesn’t convince you to maintain perspective on your chances of winning, then continue to do research. You will be a more informed player and you will understand better how to play the games.

the gamblers fallacy is a false understanding that many gamblers end up believing. The truth is that in any game the likelihood of winning does not change regardless of what happened in the previous game or round. The false belief that many gamblers live by is that because their bet didn’t win last time, it is more likely to win in the next round. An example is a roulette wheel. Just because the ball landed on red the last three times, does not mean that the statistics have somehow magically changed to favor black. A gambler must remember that every round is different and the previous round has no bearing on the outcome of the next. Many people don’t want to believe this. It is why people always gamble the same lotto numbers if some cases.

In a game like roulette or a coin toss, you always have the same odds of winning at each bet. It is important to remember. The idea that the gambler will eventually hit, is not true. The only truth is that the odds will always be the same in these games. So the next time you gamble, feel free to play however you like. Look at the odds of winning and remember they are the same, yes the odds are always the same, every round.

Gambling is a very generic term that refers to any activity where one makes a guess, sometimes it is educated, and wagers something on the outcome. Some people say that you gamble each day when you drive down the street. What are you wagering? You are wagering the safety of your self that you will make it to work without getting injured or killed while driving down the road. Others gamble in the stock market, planning that the investments that they make will be worth more than when they bought them. In this case the wager is money. There are friendly wagers, that can result in little more than a congratulations to the winner and there are other wagers that can result in a return of millions of dollars, such as the case of state lotteries.

When people hear the term gambling it often conjures the idea of the casino, for others a game of Friday night poker. Others consider scratch tickets in a gas station, or an internet gambling site that they like. There are more things to gamble on than one could discuss in a lifetime. Regardless of how you feel about casinos and wagering your money, we all take chances everyday. Some might say that every choice we make is a wager on the outcome. Or that with every choice we are wagering for more happiness, or sustaining happiness in our life. So, regardless if gambling your money should be legal or not, remember, we all take chances, everyday of our lives.
